Fumi Games Releases New Trailer for 1930s Cartoon-Inspired FPS, Mouse
Developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide Publishing have unveiled a new trailer for Mouse, an upcoming first-person shooter inspired by 1930s vintage cartoons. The trailer was released during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase and offers a sneak peek at some exciting gameplay features, including new traversal mechanics and power-ups.
The trailer showcases the game's grappling hook, helicopter, and Spinach power-up, each offering unique gameplay enhancements. The grappling hook allows players to quickly move through levels by targeting specific points for rapid traversal. The helicopter introduces vertical movement capabilities, allowing players to slow their descent for strategic gameplay. Meanwhile, the Spinach power-up nods to Popeye and enhances melee combat, giving players an edge in close-quarters battles.
In a press release, Fumi Games CEO Mateusz Michalak expressed the company's dedication to ensuring Mouse lives up to players' expectations. The goal is to blend a passion for animation with the fast-paced action of first-person shooters. Michalak emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Mouse community to create a game that resonates with players.
The Mouse development team, in partnership with PlaySide Publishing, is working hard to create the best "grandboomer" cartoon shooter ever made. Michalak promised to share more details about the game as development progresses, keeping fans in the loop as the game's release approaches.
Mouse was initially revealed in 2023 and is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC in 2025. The game promises a thrilling blend of vintage animation and modern FPS action that players won't want to miss!
