'Trigun Stampede' Reveals Third Promo
Three more cast members were revealed in the third promotional video shown on Saturday (November 19, 2022) at the special Trigun Stampede panel at Anime NYC. The new Trigun series will debut on TV Tokyo and other channels in January 2023.
Episode director Kenji Mutou now oversees anime production at Orange Studio. Creators and writers include Yoshihisa Ueda, Shin Okashima (Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san), and Tatsurou Inamoto (Lupin III (2015)). Koudai Watanabe (Tanken Driland: 1000-nen no Mahou), Tetsurou Moronuki (Fune wo Amu prop design), Takahiko Abiru (Vinland Saga), Akiko Satou (Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari), Takeshi Ninomiya (Kiniro Mosaic main animation director), and Yumihiko Amano are designing the characters.
Yasuhiro Nightow's action-adventure manga, Trigun, had its debut in February 1995 as a one-shot in Monthly Shounen Captain. It served as inspiration for the anime series. The manga first appeared in April of that year and continued until the magazine was canceled in January 1997.
In total, Tokuma Shoten published three volumes of the manga between April 1996 and January 1999. Shounen Gahousha reissued both volumes in June of 2000.
